Astbury Watersports This Girl Can

We are proud to be taking part in the This Girl Can campaign to increase women’s participation in sport, and to celebrate we will be running watersport and land-based activity sessions for women only. Working in association with British Canoeing we aim to break some of the barriers surrounding why women feel they can’t participate. British Canoeing is also trying to close the gap between women and men within the outdoor industry.

We are offering This Girl Can sessions every week throughout our summer season so that you can come and try out some of our activities, be this paddling, canoeing, kayaking or bushcraft activities.

The sessions will be varied and also weather dependent so some weeks you will be out on the water, others you can explore land activities and some weeks it may just be to sit and have a catch up with like-minded individuals whilst getting your daily steps in!

The sessions run every Tuesday starting from the 18th of April from 6 pm - 7 pm.

Things to consider:

• Weekly Tuesday sessions from 6 pm until 7 pm.
• Sessions are just £11 per person.
• Suitable for 14 years and older.
• Join a group of like-minded women to explore sports or have a catch-up in the colder months.
